lbert Sardà (Barcelona, 1943) studied counterpoint and composition with Josep Soler, simultaneously combining these studies with those of Industrial Engineering. He earned his degree in Art History from the University of Barcelona. He worked as a professor or Harmony and Art History at the Conservatories of Badalona and Manresa, also serving as the director in the latter. He was a professor of Aesthetics and History of Music, as well as a professor of Composition and Instrumentation at the Municipal Superior Conservatory of Barcelona.
